Description

The Department of History and Social Sciences at LaGrange College invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year full-time Visiting Assistant Professorship in American History for the 2019-2020 academic year. Area of specialization is open, but candidates must be able to teach both halves of the U.S. survey, as well as American frontier history. The ability to teach colonial Latin American history is a plus. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to participate in the college’s Interim term with a course in her/his specialty. The teaching load for this position is 3/1/4. PhD in hand by August 1, 2019 is strongly preferred but advanced ABD candidates will be considered. Evidence of teaching experience/effectiveness is required.
